Nutritional Supplements compliment a normal diet.

They are for people who don't get enough nutrients from the foods they eat.

Creatine-

High Intensity Exercise recovery. After max muscle capacity of creatine, the body only needs 2 gms per day to maintain. Must hydrate well to avoid cramping. Crystallized creatine in kidneys causes renal failure.

HMB-

Demonstrated to increase meat production in cattle. There is no correlation to humans.

Glutamine- No help. No increase in muscle gain.

" Andro" based pro hormones -

Can increase estrogen in men and women. Causes problems like osteoporosis that's common in women when they age.

Protein Supplements-

The body can only absorb 20-25 gms per serving. Your body will eliminate the rest. ( Maybe you are full of crap!)

Misleading advertising is common in supplement business. They have a strong lobbying component in DC.

" If the legal stuff worked, the superstars wouldn't turn to the illegal stuff."

Supplements provide necessary nutritional needs to balance a persons diet. But, there are drawbacks. There are FDA complications. It is difficult to understand a body's needs and determine the proper intake. They may have drug interactions. And some companies mislabel or mirepresent their products.
